Wentworth Avenue traffic flow

New and extended clearway hours along Wentworth Avenue, both directions (refer to map below):

• AT ALL TIMES clearways between General Holmes Drive, Mascot and Bay Street, Pagewood
• There will be no clearways between Bay Street and Baker Street, Pagewood
• Weekday peak hour clearways between Baker Street, Pagewood and Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens
  • Revised timed 'No Parking' restrictions in conjunction with the new weekday peak hour clearways.

Traffic improvements on Wentworth Avenue from Mascot to Eastgardens

Transport is extending 'No Stopping' restrictions at certain locations (as shown in inset below) to help improve traffic flow through the intersection on Wentworth Avenue between Bay Street and Baker Street.

The Australian Government and NSW Government are jointly funding the Baker Street traffic improvements. Transport will deliver the improvement works at Baker Street designed by Bayside Council (see inset below).

The Baker Street intersection improvements are part of a $240 million investment by the Australian and NSW Governments to fast-track 11 congestion busting projects as part of the plan to stimulate the economy as it recovers from COVID-19.

Transport will continue to work with Bayside Council to deliver this project.

Intersection upgrade at Baker Street

Transport will commence early works at Baker Street intersection and install new clearways signs on Wentworth Avenue between Monday 30 November 2020 and Monday 14 December 2020, weather permitting. Our working hours will be between 8pm and 5am from Monday to Sunday.

The new and extended clearways on Wentworth Avenue will be operational from 6am Monday 14 December 2020.
