Junee Station Upgrade
Project overview
Planning is currently underway to improve accessibility at Junee Station.
The project is expected to be completed in 2022*.
Key benefits
- new accessible ramps to verandah
- upgrades to family accessible, female and male toilets
- new boarding assistance zone
- modifications to the waiting room and ticket counter
- resurfacing of entrance walkway
- upgraded platform seating
- improvements to wayfinding and lighting.

The upgrade at Junee Station is being delivered as part of the Transport Access Program, a NSW Government initiative to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure across the state.
The Junee Station Upgrade would provide a station precinct that is accessible to those with a disability, limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage.
Project status
Planning is under way for an accessibility upgrade at Junee Station. As part of the planning process, preliminary investigations will be carried out to help identify what upgrades will be required to make Junee Station fully accessible.

The project team will be located at Junee Station on Wednesday, 16 June 2021 from 12.00pm to 2.00pm to answer any questions you have on the project. Feel free to drop in at any time during these hours.
Next steps
Feedback on the concept design is invited from Monday 14 June to Monday 28 June 2021. Feedback received during this period will assist Transport for NSW further develop the design of the project.
Subject to planning approval, construction is expected to commence later in the year and take up to six months to complete.
