Cootamundra Station Upgrade
Project overview
Planning is currently underway to improve accessibility at Cootamundra Station.
The project is expected to be completed in 2022*.
Key benefits
- new kiss and ride area
- improved amenities, including a family accessible toilet
- new boarding assistance zone
- improvements to ticket office
- resurfacing of entrance walkway
- upgraded platform and bus stop seating
- improvements to wayfinding and lighting.

The upgrade at Cootamundra Station is being delivered as part of the Transport Access Program, a NSW Government initiative to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure across the state.
The Cootamundra Station Upgrade would provide a station precinct that is accessible to those with a disability, limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage.
Project status
Planning is under way for an accessibility upgrade at Cootamundra Station. As part of the planning process, preliminary investigations will be carried out to help identify what upgrades will be required to make Cootamundra Station fully accessible.

The project team will be located at Cootamundra Station on Wednesday 16 June 2021 from 4.00pm to 6.00pm to answer any questions you have on the project. Feel free to drop in at any time during these hours.
Next steps
Feedback on the concept design is invited from Monday 14 June to Monday 28 June 2021. Feedback received during this period will assist Transport for NSW further develop the design of the project.
Subject to planning approval, construction is expected to commence later in the year and take up to six months to complete.
