Project overview
The project team has consulted with the community throughout all stages of the project's development and delivery. In October 2018, the project was awarded Best Engagement for an Infrastructure Project in Australasia at the IAP2 Annual Australasian Awards. The $274 million project will build better connections in and around Batemans Bay for motorists, freight, river users, pedestrians and cyclists. Major work started in early 2019 and the new bridge opened to traffic in March 2021. Removal of the existing bridge and foreshore upgrade work was completed in July 2022.
